Light

Darkness seemed to engulf her,

The closing of doors was all that she could hear.

Everything happened in a blur,

And she came face to face with her biggest fear.

She was scared of mediocrity,

Of being forgotten, wiped off from everyone's memory.

All day long she was criticized,

And began to wonder if life was such a prize.

She desperately wished for a miracle,

For she in her mental resolve became very fickle.

One day, when her existence felt meaningless,

And she could no longer handle the pretense.

She sat down doing her life's math,

Anything to stop her from taking an extreme step.

She thought about her family , how much she meant to them,

And she was by her own conscience severely condemned.

She remembered the words of her mother,

Which reminded her never to obstacles surrender.

She was determined to change the universe,

To earn a name for herself in this vast multiverse.

She started working towards her goal tirelessly,

And filled her mind with positive thoughts endlessly.

That time she was determined to succeed,

And stopped only when she had her goal achieved .

With a sigh, she concluded : the light she has always searched for ,

Was always there inside her.
